Sneaky and deceptive

BOA just put a 4 day hold on a local business check that totaled $1,400 because they told me my account had been overdrawn 1 time this month for $23.00. I believe they are setting me up to overdraw the account again by holding checks so they can charge me more $35.00 fees. The reason I believe this to be true is because they didn't hold the smaller amount check for $269 that I deposited yesterday. Hmmmm this really discredits the lame excuse they gave me for holding it.

Did you make the deposit at an ATM or did you make it inside the banking center? I can explain why after you tell me. And if it is a local check it wouldn't be 4 day hold unless it is a small bank that uses another bank to process its items.
Remember the business may be local but the bank its drawn on may not be local--the number of days all depends on the routing number.
