I spent a total 30 minutes and 15 seconds on the phone with a rep named jay. He helped me refund my account on my personal account.
However, on my business account I was assessed (x4) $35.00 in overdraft fees a total of $140 in fees. I've spoken with several reps in past and clearly stated to NOT have overdraft fees charged.
I specifically said i want my card to decline. I have had multiple conversations in the past with bank of America reps. Re-guarding this overdraft issue. I remember spending an entire hour at the farmer's market on the phone about NOT having overdraft coverage.
I've even had online chats with service reps about this situation. They clearly made it so and stated that they will not cover my charges if I do not have enough funds in my past conversations. That is what I want. Every time I've ran into this problem of unfair overdrafts I've been refunded after a painstaking argument.
I'm extremly upset. I finished a 30 minute workout and had plans to work on my business over the next 2 hours. I have decided organize a way to blog, tweet and face book my experience with bank of America.
I will be going to the bank today to close my accounts. I am so upset that I've decided to spend the next 30 days (or until I'm done being mad) writing about my experience and plastering all over the web.
I've been wanting to change banks for quite sometime and have been giving bofa so many chances, but they've successful got me to my boiling point.
I am not the average consumer. I am tech savvy consumer who is plugged into every major media outlet. I will first start by starting a blog to describe my experience and I am committed to posting on every YELP about my experience on every bank of America on yelp.
I will be highly professional and tactful.
Not only have you lost a customer, you now have an anti-bank of America advocate that is a social media blogging junkie. #bofa #bankofamerica, yelp.
I have been refunded in the past about this because none of this should've happened. There should be no overdrafts on my account!
I am committed to sharing my experience all over the web because of $140 in overdraft charges. I will not go away.
Thanks to the decision of Jay and Patrick Thompson (reps at bofa)
You know what raving fans are? I'm Bofa's raving enemy, raving critic and raving opponent. My goal in this anti-bofa campaign is to share my experience and have you find me ridiculously annoying that you wished you refunded my 140 bucks.
Have you considered switching banks? I finally did just that and I am completely happy with my decision. I was a loyal Bank of America customer for years and it meant nothing. I received no reward for it. I was charged overdraft to cover their service charge and finally I said "enough". I will never go back to Bank of America and I hope they go out of business due to their bad business practices.
I still say: treat them as what they are...BofA is a terrorist organization and the government should freeze thier assets. Problem is there are terrorist groups more organized. Lay off another 3,000....never know the difference.
