I work for BofA Home Loans (Telling All)
  • Ask me questions. I will tell you the truth from the inside. I am a loan officer with Bank of America and I know first hand what is going on. I am also still employed and will be until I leave. I produce and they have no idea how much I hate them!

This place is a scam! Let me tell you what has happened in the last few weeks. While rates have dropped everywhere BofA has raised their rates about 1.0% higher than others. Today I priced a 15 year loan at 50% LTV and the rate was 4.75%. Are you kidding me? The sad part is that it is only portfolio customers calling in to refi and we are obligated to sell the rate that they offer. SAD. People are being ripped off every day but if I told someone to call around and not take the loan I would be fired. I will BLOW THE WHISTLE on this company in a second! Come try and find me BofA employees on this board, I am smarter than you! I have covered every track and I will continue to tell the evil tales of this bank. Think I am not an employee? I dare you to challenge me. I will find who you are, look in Flagscape and publish your email address and full name! Test me fools! Do you know how to do reverse track IP address searches? I DO!!!!

This bank needs to go down! They are ripping off the same people that are still loyal to them and I cannot sit by and watch anymore! This is the 2nd time I have tried to post this and I have not been published yet. This better make it or this site itself is holding back the truth and on the payroll of the monster!

And please, try and correct me grammatically or with spelling or anything else if that's all you have. I cannot wait to expose this bank for what they are! They should be dechartered and the morons that run the fullfilment centers should all be fired! There are morons behind the scenes and the public is the one who suffers. They cancel 60% of loans that come through at this point and these are people with 740 credit scores and have W-2's and paystubs. To "clean the pipe" they will just cancel loans. I have never worked for a bank that cancels loans and does not want to close loans. Most banks want business, this bank however does not!

Please ask me anything. I will be truthful in all my answers and will expose them for what they are. Ruthless crooks who prey on the people that are still loyal to them. When someone tells me they want to do the loan I want to scream at them and say, "What are you thinking? Call around and be more educated!" But can I do what is moral and correct? Absolutely not or I would be fired. So while I am still there I will tell the story of this bank from the inside like never told before!
  • What about foreclsoures? Two of my friends just lost houses because their shortsales were denied different states and A realtor friend of mine says it is happening a lot when the borrowers are not in the HAFA program. Any truth to that?
  • I  had a credit score of 802 and Bank Of America destroyed my credit.  Long story.
  • i also work for BofA. if any of you need anything....any info...i'll be glad to tell you how they operate in the HOME RETENTION DEPT. and offer any tricks or trips in attempting to save your home. they are monsters, but i can help you at least get your voice heard, and them taking you seriously...
  • They would not modify my mortgage after I lost my job. after two years of denials and lost paperwork, I filed a complaint with the Office of the comptroller of currency. At least they had to respond and I have a number of their lies in writing. The only caveat now is no lawyers want to take them on as they will just drag their feet and drown you with motions. I got away from them with a great local bank that refinanced me before BOA could foreclose. Then they miraculously offer me a loan modification during the refinance, after repeatedly stating they didn't even know that I was attempting to modify my mortgage (for almost two years). They destroyed my credit and financially ruined me, but they at least did not steal my home like they wee trying to do. I would like to find out more on how and why they would listen to someone in the process. It seems that if you can prove malice or an intent, you may have a case. Also I was told if you agree to a modification and they take it away you may have something as it is contractual. They also hate bad press, so I am contacting media outlets to see if they would like to bring my story to a wider audience.

  • BOA Home Loans is the most difficult company to deal with on the face of the earth.  I have left many messages and have not received any phone calls back at a number I leave during the day but they insist on leaving messages on my home phone.  I've received letters and phone calls even to the extent that I call a number and get an entirely different person than the one who sent me the letter.  All I've been trying to do is keep my home which was mine before I got married.  They mislead me from day one.  I was told I would be able to work on a home loan modification if I got my ex's name off my deed which was taken care of.  Apparently that was false information from the get go.  I sent numerous letters and more paperwork than you can imagine a couple of times for a modification and they finally contacted me, after I called the Bank Commissioner's office, only to tell me I do not qualify because I did not send them all the paperwork needed.  I explained to them I am not privy to my ex-husband's information and taxes and that I've been trying to get a modification in my name only.  But on the other hand, it seems BOA can discuss my financial info and credit with my ex-husband.  Is this not against the law?  With the hopes BOA would help me get a loan modification, they have also financially ruined me as well as my credit  which will make it almost impossible at this point in time to even obtain a lease.  Where am I to go?  I even went as far as to send correspondence to the CEO and the President of the home loan division...I'm sure those letters never saw the light of day!  If I handled my job in this manner, I would have been let go many years ago...as should all the morons working at BOA.  It is amazing how my ex can obtain a new mortgage and new property after filing bankruptcy without having to satisfy any of his obligations to BOA.  I know I will never see the pot of gold at the end of the rainbow, but I was hoping that maybe BOA could help me see the light at the end of the tunnel.  The company motto must state to kick the American people when they are down.
  • I work for boa home loans & they suck!!! They run a business filled with lies...they want you to lie to customers. They lose paperwork and ask ppl to refax mod docs a million times ; eventually say it's too late we're taking your house.. I most definitely think they want homes...nothing is black and white at boa...just a huge gray area...they harass homeowners on the 2nd of every month although they have a grace period...management will come against you if one mgr doesn't like you...they pay us to read notes versus really offering real assistance to homeowners. They lie lie lie to their customers and I hate working for them, but I need a job bc I have a family to care for..we have to take all the craps from homeowners due to boa's unethical and deceptive practices..I hate my life at boa..so sad..
  • To Andy Outcast......I would love to know what I need to do with home
retention.  Working with the office of the president after being told I
could not even send in package for loan mod.  They set auction sale date
exactly 90 days from notice of default, December 14, 2011.  Only saved
the house because I spoke with a HUD counselor who told me I could send in a loan mod pkg.  How much extra per month does a person need to even qualify for a loan mod?
I have a sub prime countrywide loan and tell them I am entitled to a loan mod because of settlement with attorney general in calif and countrywide.  Also bofa can not produce the MERS summary title I have requested in Sept. and I have robo signers.  i told this to my rep in the office of the president.  BofA doesn't even service the loan bank of new york melon does.
Will I really have any hope of a loan mod?
    thanks Andy
  • They told me I had no legal right to the paperwork that states that they actually own my home loan. I have been given 8 different reps and none of them ever return calls. None of them are in the office when I call. I have faxed documents over twenty times to 17 different numbers. I have reported to the OCC - while I have an open complaint nothing has really happened. My past due amount continues to climb as they do not apply payments. I have asked for an FHA partial claim - no response. What now?

  • BOA has to be the most ridiculous bank I have every worked with.  I am in the process of closing and there is no way we are going to be able to close on time due to their incompetence.  They have already tried to re-adjust the rate several days prior to closing and are demanding a fee if I want to keep it.  I can't begin to tell you the amount of times that I have been asked to re-fax paperwork.  I really should have put a stop to the bs and just went with another bank---it is clear that they don't want the business.

  • I too fell victim to BoA and was forced to file Chapter 13. I informed the bank Nov. 2010 I lost my job, may fall behind on mtg pymnts and asked if they can help. They told me no, that I needed to wait until I missed a payment. So I missed a pymnt and called them. After providing them with my financial info, they said they were putting me in for a loan mod. and I would get a package in the mail within 45 days. So I waited and called them on the 46th day and they told me I didn't qualify because my loan is FHA. They said I had to miss 4 payments before they could help. So I missed 4 pymts, got on a 6 month pymnt plan, where I paid 1/2 mtg. Once I finished the pymnt plan, they said I needed to make full pymnts and they were submitting my info for modification. Meanwhile, I was getting threatening foreclosure letters because I was now $4800 behind. The operators would tell me not to worry about those letters because I was being reviewed for mod. After months of sending paperwork, they told me I did not qulaify for mod because I didn't send requested paperwork. When I asked what paperwork, they could not give a specific answer, but rather stated I could send a current check stub to reopen my mod app.
IN all of these conversations I had with them....I was transferred about 5 times each phone call, I was given the wrong department's phone numbers and was directed ot the wrong people. At one point I was even told I didn't have to miss 4 pymnts to apply for help. By that time, I had already missed those pymnts.
I filed chapter 13 2 weeks ago so I would not lose my home...and I am still awaiting word from my loan mod request....again.
The bank also sent me 2 checks (with 2 dates and 2 different check numbers) for $19.38. I deposited both checks at the same time and 2 weeks later (today) there was a chargeback fee for $19.38 and a fee for the chargeback for $12.00...which put my account in the negative. The checks stated they were for interest from when I had a house fire and had to send the $ to them from my insurance for them to hold then send back to me. Well, the CSR told me there was a stop payment on one of the checks and told me I had to call the department that sent it (Claims). She also said she could not waive the $12 fee because it was still a chargeback on my acct. I called claims and they told me they didn't know why there was a stop payment. I told her that they didn't call, email, text or send me a letter stating not to cash either check and I thought they were both valid because they were for a valid claim and they were printed different days, etc. She told me someone would call me back within 48 hours and that she would submit a request for the $12 to be reimbursed to me. I think I'll ask for it in a cashier's check so they don't put a stop payment on the next check...if they send one.
I am so so so fed up with this bank. I hate them sooooo much. I thought they would be willing to help but they are hateful and they play games with people's lives. What they are doing in scamming and deceiving people and they should be shut down. I have done everything I they told me to, as I thought they were helping me...and it ended up they are raping me. I am now in Bankruptcy....because of this bank.
  • I'm on the other side of the coin here. There is a local house that has been vacant for two years that we want to buy. I did all the recon work and have spoken with the previous owner. He gave up the house (deed in leiu) in his bankruptcy filing in 2010, and the house has been vacant since he moved out. BOA has apparently not been down the foreclosing process on the property yet as when I call the REO department, they continue to tellme that if I have interest in the property to call the owner. Makes zero sense. BOA knows the house was turned over, they know its vacant. They have their own Field Services company 'maintain' the property. All i want to know is when they will move on foreclosing so they can sell and i can make an offer at the foreclosure auction. The house is doing nothing but dropping in value, and my wife and I are prepared to make a reasonable offer. Is there anybody in the REO department who can actually talk to me without telling me to visit the boa reo website? If the website had the info i was looking for, I would not be wasting our time by calling! :( Help!
  • BofAHomeLoans - please give me the names of the head counsel and deputy counsel of mortgage and their addresses and phone numbers...thank you
  • In March of 2008 my husband lost his job. He returned to work in Sept 2008 but for less money that before. We began the loan mediation process and have been trying to work with BOA on a loan modification since Sept2008. Finally after many mediation meetings and several resubmittals of the same paper work, in May of 2011 we recieved a temporary payment plan for both our first and second mortgages. These temporary plan payments were $1400 for per month more than our original payments. In July 2011 we recieved BOA's loan modification offer for our first mortgage. FINALLY. At this point we were ~24months behind (cuz everything took SOOO darn long). We assummed that they would add the two years to our loan but instead they increased the principal by +60K.  This puts my property underwater. We had just built the home 2006 and had put a large down payment. With the value drop in 2008 we were still above water but only just slightly. Now my credit is ruined and I owe more that the property is worth. (BTW-in 2006 we borrowed 365K on a home worth $425). So we sucked it up signed the documents and are showing as current on our first mortgage. They also reduced the interest rate from 6-5/8 to 5% which decreased our payment by $230. In Sept 2011 we recieved their offer for my second loan. They did not reduce the interest rate, did not extend the length, and added 10K to the pricipal. This would have further buried me and increased my payments by $130 a month. We rejected the offer and I have been getting the run around by BOA. Nobody seems to know what to do. I have been bounced between about 4 different departements all point fingers at other departments and giving differnt answers to what my next step is. I have been making regular monthly payments on the second mortgage for the last 16 months and am only behind 9 payments. I am very angry and frustrated by the whole process. I can understand why people just give up. I regret that we agreed to the terms of our first mortgage.
